Head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Yuriy Baulin and his driver, who were hurt in a road accident on July 26, now are in the intensive care unit of Poltava regional clinical hospital named after Skliphosovsky, Interfax-Ukraine learnt from medical sources.

Acting chief doctor of the hospital Oleksandr Oliynyk told the agency that the patients are in a stable grave condition. They received numerous injuries of internal organs and a traumatic brain injury.

The doctor said that the court head regained consciousness, however, still under the action of the narcotic medicine.

As reported, the car accident occurred on the Kyiv-Kharkiv road at 20:00 on July 26.

According to preliminary information, the driver of a Toyota Camry car collided with a Nissan car. The driver and a passenger of the Nissan died instantly. Another two passengers of the Nissan were hospitalized, where one of them – the twelve-year-old boy – subsequently died.

Baulin was the passenger of Toyota Camry court state car.
