Decentralization isn't last amendment to Constitution – Poroshenko

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said he hopes that the issues of amendments to the Constitution regarding MP and judicial immunity, and judicial reform, will be settled soon.

"These are not the last amendments to the Constitution that will be adopted soon. I hope that the Verkhovna Rada will support my suggestions that have already been returned from the Constitutional Court and preliminary got enough votes. It concerns the issue of removing immunity for MPs and judges," the President said on Wednesday while presenting the draft of decentralization related amendments to the Constitution.

"These are the things that must be regulated as soon as possible," he said

Poroshenko said that at the meeting of the National Council of Reforms he also raised the issue of power sharing between the president, the parliament, and the government.

"I don't rule out [the possibility] that the Constitutional Commission will pay attention to these important issues," he said.
