Director of NATO Liaison Office Marcin Koziel praised the progress in establishing the dialog between the Ukrainian Defense Ministry and foreign advisors.

He said this at a meeting of Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak with foreign advisors who are working at the Defense Ministry as part of the NATO assistance to Ukraine, the Defense Ministry said in a report posted on its website.

"Koziel has praised the progress in establishing the dialog between the Defense Ministry's experts and foreign advisors and expressed the hope that the further cooperation of foreign advisors, who are working with the Defense Ministry would be fruitful. He thanked the defense minister for his decisions on reforms and his intent to cooperate closely with foreign advisors and NATO as a whole," the statement reads.

At the same time, the NATO official said that they realized under what conditions the reforms in the Ukrainian army were conducted.

The ministry also said that before this meeting, Poltorak held the talks with NATO Assistant Secretary General Thrasyvoulos Terry Stamatopoulos, during which they discussed practical issues of work of the group of advisors at the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
