NSDC secretary says Ukraine will never supply parts for aggressor's weapons

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC), Oleksandr Turchynov, has said his country is working to rebuild the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, but "will never supply assembly parts for the weapons of the aggressor."

According to the council's press service, Turchynov told journalists on Tuesday that the Russian military and political leadership, along with its special services, has been systemically working towards destroying the military potential of Ukraine.

"Our military-industrial enterprises have been brought to bankruptcy, the armed forces and the country's defense potential have been destroyed. The aggression of the Russian Federation must be a final accord in its plans to destroy the independence of our country," Turchynov said.

In addition, he said he was "surprised by the blasphemy and inadequacy of Russian President Vladimir Putin's statements that the Ukrainian military-industrial complex will lose its position because of the halt of cooperation with Russia."

"Ukraine will never supply parts for the weaponry of aggressor which he is going to use to kill our citizens," Turchynov said.

He said that despite all difficulties the country currently faces, "we work towards rebuilding the military-industrial complex[of Ukraine]."

"Today the enterprises, which for many years were standing without getting orders, work for several work shifts. Ukraine rebuilds its positions on international weapon markets and does its best to provide our Armed Forces with modern and high-quality weaponry despite Russia's resistance," Turchynov added
