A vehicle of the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC) which promotes the ceasefire and stabilization along the contact line in eastern Ukraine came under attack in the Volnovakha district in Donetsk region on Monday, which was the second attack in the past three days, the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) press center reported on Tuesday.

The vehicle belonging to a mobile patrol of the JCCC's Ukrainian team was attacked by a sabotage and reconnaissance group in territory controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, eight kilometers away from the contact line.

No one was hurt, the press center said.

"The ongoing activity of sabotage and reconnaissance groups along the contact line aims not only to uncover defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces but also to paralyze the work of the Joint Center supporting ceasefire," JCCC Ukrainian Co-chair Maj. Gen. Andriy Taran has said.

The press center noted that the incident in the Volnovakha district was the second attack on JCCC members. A vehicle of the JCCC Ukrainian mission came under small arms fire in neutral territory on May 23. The vehicle was moving from the Horlivka roadblock controlled by Russian-backed militants to the Mayorsk roadblock of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
