164 wounded Ukrainian soldiers now undergoing medical treatment – Defense Ministry

A total of 164 Ukrainian soldiers wounded during the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone in eastern Ukraine were undergoing medical treatment in hospitals as of Monday, according to head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's media and communications department Oksana Havryliuk.

"As of today, 164 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and three soldiers from other military formations, who have been wounded during the ATO, are undergoing medical treatment in the Defense Ministry's hospitals," she said at a briefing in Kyiv.

According to her, 40 Ukrainian soldiers are now being treated abroad: 18 are in Germany, 10 are in Romania, others are in the United Kingdom, Poland, Greece, Israel, and Austria.

Eleven NATO member countries, as well as Austria and Israel have offered their help to arrange medical treatment and rehabilitation of wounded Ukrainian soldiers.

Since the launch of the ATO, 108 Ukrainian servicemen have undergone medical treatment abroad.
