A Ukrainian serviceman was hurt in a pull-action mine explosion near the town of Zolote in the Popasna district of the Luhansk region, head of the regional military-civilian administration Hennadiy Moskal said.

"A 34-year-old serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who suffered leg and head injuries in a mine explosion has been admitted to the Artemivsk town hospital. He was injured on Monday evening after he had hit a pull-action mine near the town of Zolote in the Popasna district," the Moskal press service said in a report released on Tuesday.

In addition, Vesela Hora militants put the town of Schastia under automatic grenade launcher fire on Monday evening, Moskal said. In his words, the militants was firing for effect at a Ukrainian roadblock located near a bus station and a bridge. In all, about 25 rounds were fired without damaging the infrastructures. There were no military or civilian casualties in that attack, he said.

Hostilities occurred in another two areas of the contact line on Monday. Automatic weapon and grenade launcher fire went on through the day, with minor breaks, near a tuberculosis sanatorium on the outskirts of the village of Krymske. Ukrainian army positions were repeatedly attacked in the village of Troitske, Popasna district.

There was no gunfire in other populated areas along the separation line.
