PM calls for more cooperation with intl organizations on ATO personnel rehabilitation

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has called on the state service for war veterans and anti-terrorist operation (ATO) personnel to increase cooperation with international organizations to aid the rehabilitation of ATO personnel.

"I would ask you that the meetings result in real assistance faster. Prepare an international conference with our western partners, take, for example, two months, set clear goals on what we want to receive as aid from our international partners. Prepare an international conference to help our Ukrainian ATO personnel by our western donors and partners," he said at a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

Yatseniuk said that the donor conference should be held as soon as possible.

"Let's accelerate the process," he said when he heard that the conference is scheduled for September 2015.

Yatseniuk said that it is better to empower volunteers with some responsibilities to ease the pressure on the state service for war veterans and ATO personnel, especially in providing care for demobilized ATO personnel, in cooperation with international aid organizations.
