No Ukrainian soldiers killed in east over past 24 hours

No Ukrainian soldiers have been killed or injured in the army operation area in the south-east of Ukraine in the past 24 hours, operation headquarters spokesman Andriy Lysenko told a press briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.

Meanwhile, militants continue to violate the Minsk agreements and attack the Ukrainian army's positions, Lysenko said.

"As Ukraine continues to unconditionally observe the Minsk accords, the adversary is attempting to derail the peace process by staging multiple armed provocations. The situation remains relatively calm only in the east of the Luhansk region. The militants are maintaining their activity along the entire line of contact – from the Bakhmutka road to the Azov Sea. In addition to armed provocations involving grenade launchers, mortars and small arms, illegal armed units fired tanks against the positions of anti-terrorist operation forces near the village of Opytne yesterday," Lysenko said.

He also accused militants of firing mortars against Avdiyivka.
