The United Nations may increase its assistance for Ukraine from EUR 185 million to EUR 316 million, to overcome the humanitarian crisis in eastern Ukraine.

Deputy Prime Minister and Regional Development, Construction, Houses and Utilities Minister Hennadiy Zubko announced this at a conference dedicated to the first 100 days of the government's wok.

He said that the decision to increase the aid could be made in April.

"We expect to publish it at the international donor conference in April," Zubko said.

According to Zubko, the money will be allocated in five directions: direct help for internally displaced persons, healthcare, education, employment, and social adaptation.

He said that each direction would involve international organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF.
