Chairman of the parliamentary committee for preventing and fighting corruption Ehor Sobolev (the Samopomich faction) has noted some amendments to anticorruption laws.

"All laws to remove corrupted persons have been drawn up. Officials who won't be able to explain the origin of their assets are to give them to the state and go to jail. A minister who is suspected of large corruption and is planning to escape could be arrested for 24 hours until the court issues a ruling," Sobolev wrote on his Facebook page.

"Those who have been responsible for fighting corruption cannot be taken to the Anti-Corruption Bureau. Those who will really fight will receive salaries of UAH 20,000 like detectives," he wrote.

On February 12 the parliament adopted the law on making amendments to the laws on the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the National Agency of Ukraine for Battling Corruption.
