Klimkin: Time to Stop the Terrorists and their Russian Masters

The international community needs to move beyond statements of support for Ukraine and make tangible efforts to stop Russia supporting terrorism in the Donbas, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said. "Today, I’ve talked to my EU colleagues. My message to international organizations and governments is clear: the time for statements has passed. Human lives are being lost every day and we cannot allow this to continue. It's time to work together to stop the terrorists and make Russia cease its meddling", Klimkin said in a comment to "Interfax-Ukraine".

Klimkin commented that Ukraine’s diplomats are urging all major global institutions to properly respond to the crime committed by the terrorists in Mariupol. “We need not only statements of support, but also concrete practical steps," Klimkin said. The Minister said that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is working on convening emergency meetings of the UN Security Council, EU Foreign Ministers Council, OSCE Permanent Council and Ukraine-NATO Commission meeting at the Ambassadorial level.

As reported, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has expressed shock that Russia did not condemn the terrorist attack in Mariupol. "Why Moscow is silent on the crime committed by terrorists in Mariupol? No official statement, no condemnation, no condolences. Nothing", Klimkin tweeted. "Russia isn't willing to stop terrorists in Ukraine. Can it at least call on its proxies to behave like trivial, not inhuman terrorists?", he added
