Ukraine contact group meets

The contact group set up to seek a solution to the Ukrainian conflict launched its next round of talks on Wednesday.

An Interfax reporter said the negotiations were being held behind closed doors at a Belarusian Foreign Ministry reception center in Minsk.

Ukraine was represented at the talks by former president Leonid Kuchma.

The other negotiators were Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov, the envoys of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic, Denys Pushylin and Vladislav Deinego, and a delegation of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe led by Special Representative Heidi Tagliavini.
