Ukrainian Health Ministry gets another batch of humanitarian aid worth over UAH 3 mln

The Ukrainian Health Ministry has received another batch of humanitarian aid worth over UAH 3 million from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Population Fund, the ministry's press service has reported.

The humanitarian cargo from the WHO includes 90 kits of medicines and medical products for urgent medical aid. One kit helps provide assistance to 1,000 people within three months. The humanitarian cargo will be sent to Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Luhansk and Kharkiv regions.

Humanitarian assistance from the United Nations Population Fund, in turn, includes 50 sets for surgical obstetric care for 1.8 million people within three months. They include surgical instruments, suture materials, and essential medicines. In addition to the said regions, the kits will also arrive in Kyiv, Odesa and Poltava regions.

In addition, according to the report, on December 29, the Health Ministry expects an additional batch of 90 obstetric kits from UNICEF.
