Mandate of OSCE mission at Donetsk and Gukovo border checkpoints extended by three months

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has decided to extend the mandate of its Special Monitoring Mission working at Russia's Donetsk and Gukovo checkpoints on the border with Ukraine by three months.

"Under today's decision the mandate of the Mission remains unchanged. Operating on the principles of impartiality and transparency, the observers will report on the situation, including movements across the Russian-Ukrainian border at the two Russian checkpoints," the OSCE said in a statement.

This OSCE mission, which includes 22 civilian monitors, was extended by one month on November 20.
