The Ukrainian and Russian border services are drafting a "road map" to stabilize the situation on the Ukrainian-Russian border, Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine Viktor Nazarenko has said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

"We discussed [as part of consultations between the border services of Ukraine and Russia] the possible organization of joint control at several checkpoints, the organization of joint patrols, and a number of other issues. Despite the difficulty of these negotiations, we managed to offer a 'road map' to address this issue and agreed on the principal points on which we could move further," Nazarenko said.
