Some 42.4% of applications of ATO participants to receive land plots in Ukraine approved, says agency

As of November 24, 2014, decisions on the provision of permits to design land utilization projects on the allocation of land plots for construction, farming and gardening were made for 5,113 or 42.4% of applications of military servicemen-participants of the counterterrorist operation (ATO) in the eastern part of Ukraine, who did not use the right to privatize land free of charge, as well as families of killed servicemen.

The State Agency for Land Resources reported on Monday that as of November 24, 3,202 or 62.6% of decisions were made by land managers in the past 1.5 months.

"Over the half of applications of ATO participants for the allocation of land plots are being discussed, as it was managed to stir up the process only from October," the agency said.

As of November 24, a total of 12,061 applications was registered by territorial land resources divisions.

"Since early October around 50 positive decisions on the allocation of land plots to ATO participants were made every week," the agency said, adding that over the past week a total of 493 decisions on 770 land plots were made.
