Social Policy Ministry says enough state budget funds for social protection of IDPs and ATO participants

A sufficient amount of funds has been allocated from Ukraine's state budget to ensure the social protection of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and participants in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO), First Deputy Social Policy Minister Vitaliy Muschynin has said.

"There are enough state budget funds to ensure the social protection of combatants and displaced persons in full," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.

Muschynin said that there were state programs for the social protection of these categories of citizens, additional financing was secured, as well as assistance was provided from international organizations. In addition, he said, the state created a register of those who participated in the anti-terrorist operation, due to which social support for such categories of citizens is provided.

"We have a rough figure. We can talk about 5,000-6,000 persons who may soon get the status of combatants," he said.
