Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has continued telephone consultations with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Poroshenko's press service reported.

"The sides discussed the situation in Donbas, including the progress made in implementing the Minsk protocol and the Minsk memorandum ahead of a European Council session, which will be held in Brussels on October 23-24," the press service said.
