Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has set up 113 polling stations in 73 countries around the world, and is now reviewing the state register of Ukrainian voters who will vote abroad during the parliamentary elections.

As the ministry's spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis said, 109 stations were set at the embassies and consulates of Ukraine. The major number of the voting stations will work in Russia (6), Germany (5), Italy, and four each in Poland and the United States.

Perebyinis also said that an extra four polling stations were established at the request of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine at the military units that are located outside of Ukraine – in the democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia and Kosovo (Republic of Serbia).

"The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry together with the diplomatic establishments of Ukraine is working to update and specify the data of the state register of the voters on the basis of the actualization of consular recording of Ukrainian citizens who live or are abroad now, as well as on the basis of the personal applications from citizens," Perebyinis said.

According to the ministry, as of early September, the total number of electors abroad was 515,315 people.

Besides, the ministry said that on September 25, Ukraine accepted 80 long-term observers that will work as a part of OSCE ODIHR mission to observe the elections.
