Ukraine's Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk is due to pay a working visit to the United States on September 24-25 to attend the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UN GA).

While in New York, the head of government is expected to make a speech at the General Debate of the UN GA, the Ukrainian Cabinet's press office said on Tuesday.

Yatseniuk will also meet with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and hold talks with the heads of delegations from the UN member states.

The visit plan also includes the prime minister's meetings with U.S. business representatives and chief executives from U.S. investment and financial institutions, as well as representatives from nongovernmental organizations.

Earlier, the press office of the United Nations reported that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko was expected to speak at the UN General Assembly on September 25.

However, on September 23, Interfax-Ukraine learnt that the Ukrainian president decided not to fly to the United States. On Thursday, September 25, Poroshenko will give a press conference in Kyiv.
