Fifty ENEMO observers to monitor parliamentary elections in Ukraine

Fifty representatives of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations (ENEMO) will monitor early parliamentary elections in Ukraine on October 26, Head of the ENEMO Mission to Ukraine Srdjan Pavlicic has said.

He said at a press conference on Wednesday that 25 teams composed of two long-term observers would be deployed in various regions in Ukraine starting from September 20.

Pavlicic said that all observers would receive instructions regarding the peculiarities of the political environment and the peculiarities of Ukraine's electoral legislation.

When asked whether ENEMO representatives will observe the elections in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, he said that the mission would have mobile teams in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk who, depending on the security situation, would be able to observe some of the processes in these areas.
