Head of Donetsk Regional State Administration Serhiy Taruta has said that in order to ensure the holding of early parliamentary elections in the region it is necessary to move the center of the district commission to the area controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, the press service of the regional state administration has reported.

"We must ensure the work of district commissions and where the part of the areas included in the district is occupied by militants. To do this, we need to move the center of the district commission to a safe place and give the opportunity to vote to people who live in the free territories," Taruta said in Mariupol at a meeting with the heads of the southern towns and districts of the region, at which preparations for early parliamentary elections were discussed.

Taruta also focused on the safe work of electoral commissions, noting that such a task was set before the police and territorial defense battalions.

As reported, early parliamentary elections in Ukraine are scheduled for October 26.
