The well-known ex-midfielder of FC Dynamo Kyiv and Ukraine's national football team, coach Andriy Husin, has died tragically at the age of 41, according to a statement posted on the Kyiv club's Web site.

According to media reports, at around 1400, Husin was killed at Kyiv's Chaika racetrack while riding a motorcycle.

When playing for Dynamo, Husin won seven Ukrainian league titles, four Ukrainian Cup titles, and played in the semi-finals of the 1998/1999 Champions League. He was a leading player in the Ukrainian national team for over a decade, appearing in the 2006 World Cup.
