Yatseniuk to go to polls separately from Poroshenko's Bloc

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said that his party People's Front will go to the early parliamentary elections separately from the bloc of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

"We were to go to the polls together with the president, but I am not satisfied with the Block of Petro Poroshenko. We are in different camps, but we are united by reforms for the sake of change," he said during a discussion at the 11th YES forum in Kyiv.

As reported, on September 10, during the first stage of a special congress of the People's Front Party, Yatseniuk was elected the chairman of the party's political council.

Verkhovna Rada speaker Oleksandr Turchynov was elected as the head of the election campaign headquarters of the People's Front

Yatseniuk, Turchynov, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, MPs Lilia Hrynevych, Viacheslav Kyrylenko, former National Security and Defense Council Secretary Andriy Parubiy, Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko, and Interior Minister advisor Tetiana Chornovol were included in the party's political council under the congress decision.

The People's Front Party was registered on March 31, 2014.

Turchynov was first deputy chairman of the Batkivschyna Party, whereas Yatseniuk led the political council of the Batkivschyna Party.
