The Ukrainian government has approved the proposals for the National Security and Defense Council regarding the application of personal sanctions against Russian citizens over the situation in Donbas.

"The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers approved at a meeting on Thursday, September 11, the proposals for the National Security and Defense Council regarding the application of personal sanctions… in military, economic, energy and information dimensions," the Ukrainian government posted a statement on Friday.

The government proposals concern in particular blocking assets of individuals who supported the armed opponents of the Kyiv authorities.
