Malaysia will send 20 investigators to the Boeing 777 plane crash site in Ukraine as soon as possible, Defense Minister of Malaysia Hishammuddin Hussein said.

"Malaysian Defense Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said that despite the ceasefire, attacks are still going on, and Malaysia doesn't want to put at risk and under a threat its expert team engaged in the inquiry. Nevertheless, Malaysia, having received a permission of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, sent to Ukraine 20 investigators, who will be ready as soon as possible to come to the site of the tragedy," Hussein said during the meeting with Ukrainian Deputy Premier Volodymyr Hroisman, as the government's press service said on Tuesday.

The defense minister said that Malaysian specialists would come to the crash site together with the representatives of the Netherlands, Australia and OSCE.

Hroisman, in turn, said that the Ukrainian government is ready to by all means favor holding an inquiry.

"We favored holding inquiry and will keep doing as much as we can for the bodies and remains of the plane crash victims to be found and sent to the families. We're ready to render all possible support for the group responsible for investigation of the aircraft catastrophe to start its work on the crash site as quickly as possible," the deputy premier stressed.

Moreover, Hroisman and Hussein discussed a preliminary report of the Dutch Safety Board, which makes it clear "that [claims of] a suddenly deviation of the aircraft from its course or possible technical malfunctions are far away of being truth."

As reported, a special team of experts planning to visit and examine the crash site of the Boeing 777 passenger jet that was shot down over Donetsk region left Malaysia for Ukraine on Sunday evening, Malaysian online editions reported on Monday.

According to media reports, a group of 69 people includes criminologists, photographers, experts in weapons, and a number of other experts.
