Ukrainian government forces in eastern Ukraine, despite the declared truce, are still exposed to attacks by militants, but no Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in the past 24 hours, spokesman for the information and analytical center of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Andriy Lysenko has said.

"Despite the declared ceasefire, the situation in the ATO area remains difficult. The shelling of Ukrainian positions continues. However, the nature of these attacks has changed: as a rule, they are attacked with mortars and small arms, not with heavy artillery," he said at a briefing on Monday.

He said that over the past 24 hours attacks had been recorded near Avdiyivka, Donetske, Pisky, Chernenko, Volontiorivka, Pavlopil, Tonenke, Sartana, Nikishyne and Nyzhnia Krynka in Donetsk region and Smile, Schastia, Komyshuvakha, Zolote and Olrivske in Luhansk region.

"Shelling from Russian territory was not recorded," Lysenko said.

He also said that explosions had been heard in Donetsk last evening. The city was shelled from the direction of Donetsk train station. Periodic shelling of the outskirts of the town of Schastia in Luhansk region also continues.

The operation of three transit points for internally displaced persons in Volnovakha, Orly and Schastia was suspended due to the threat of shelling and acts of sabotage. Four transit points continue operating in the ATO area.

Lysenko also noted that according to official figures, no Ukrainian soldiers had been killed in the Donbas over the past 24 hours, and that the number of those wounded was being specified and would be announced by 1700.
