Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk thinks the Geneva talks over the conflict in east Ukraine provide the most acceptable format.

"I only believe in one negotiating format - the Geneva one, involving the U.S., the EU, Ukraine and the aggressor state of Russia," he told reporters in Kyiv on Friday, when asked to comment on the possible results of the future meeting in Minsk on August 26.

Ukraine is increasing its army's fighting capabilities, he said, recalling that the government has allocated UAH 9.1 billion for the anti-terrorist operation in the country's east.
