The Ukrainian Interior Ministry has placed Russian citizens Sergei Mironov, Vladimir Zhirinovsky and Gennady Zyuganov on the wanted list, according to the ministry's posting on its website on Monday.

The Ukrainian Interior Ministry's Main Investigations Department said on Saturday that several Russian citizens were suspected of financing and organizing criminal armed groups in Ukraine.

"A letter was referred to Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov saying that Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Gennady Zyuganov, Sergei Mironov, Sergei Shoigu and Konstantin Malafeyev are the suspects and must report for questioning," the press service said.

The letter also says that criminal inquiries are underway in relation to the said individuals on counts of running and financing illegal armed formations, supplying weapons, ammunition , explosives and military hardware to them, and, as members of the said military formations, attacking enterprises, organizations and citizens, causing fatalities and other severe consequences.

These criminal charges are listed in parts 3 and 5 of Article 260 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code.
