First National Dialogue will open at Verkhovna Rada on May 14

Ukraine's first National Dialogue roundtable will be held at the Verkhovna Rada on May 14 at 1630, the parliament's press service has reported.

Former presidents of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk and Leonid Kuchma, Premier Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk, ministers and MPs, presidential candidates, heads of the regional administrations and regional councils, representatives of the local government agencies, scientists, representatives of the religious organizations, public and international organizations and public figures are invited to participate in the work of the roundtable.

Acting President of Ukraine and Verkhovna Rada Chairman Oleksandr Turchynov and Premier Arseniy Yatseniuk announced an initiative of such roundtables on May 8.

"We are ready for the conversation with everybody who has legitimate political aims and is ready to stand for them by the legal means, with those who don't have blood on their hands. We invite representatives of all political forces from all regions, civil society, scientific circles for a dialogue on all issues and concerns the Ukrainian nation is facing now," reads the joint appeal.

The dialogue has the aim of searching for national consensus in key issued for Ukrainian society.
