Protesters attempted to seize the building of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office in the early hours of Saturday, the News of Donbass online newspaper has reported.

"Last night the separatists tried to seize the building of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, but law enforcement agencies managed to prevent the seizure. However, the separatists managed to damage part of the property inside the building, and cases of looting were also recorded," reads the statement.

The prosecutor's office is now operating as normal.
