Prydniprovska Railways denies Crimea directorate's re-subordination to Russian Railways
Prydniprovska Railways (Dnipropetrovsk) has refuted reports in the mass media that the employees of its Crimean railways directorate have been re-subordinated to the directorate of OAO Russian Railways (Russia).
The press service of the railways told Interfax-Ukraine that freight and passenger traffic is carried out according to schedule and without interruption, including to Crimea, and the directorate remains subordinated to the Ukrainian railways authority.
As reported, people in camouflage uniforms with the insignia "People's Self-Defense" at around 0930 on March 11 seized the administrative building of the Crimean directorate of rail transportation.
Representatives of the Council of Ministers of Crimea, in particular, Crimean MP Andriy Karakulkin, were among the participants in the seizure.
