Court obliges Klitschko to provide info on his right to reside in U.S., Germany – newspaper

Kyiv's District Administrative Court has obliged leader of the UDAR party Vitali Klitschko to provide information on his right to reside permanently in the United States and Germany, the Law and Business newspaper reported on Monday.

"District Administrative Court of Kyiv has made a ruling obliging Vitali Klitschko to respond to whether he has the right to live permanently in the U.S. and Germany. The court referred in the ruling to the practice of the European Court of Human Rights, according to which the public has the right to know, in particular about the aspects of life of public personalities, and such a right is a basic one for democratic society," the newspaper reported.

Member of Odesa Regional Council Vasyl Zadorozhniuk of the Batkivschyna faction has filed a lawsuit demanding Klitschko provide information about whether he had residency permits in Germany and the U.S., the newspaper reported.
