The veche, a popular assembly, initiated by the Ukrainian opposition on December 1, 2013, will take place in Taras Shevchenko Park in front of the central block of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

"We're gathering in Shevchenko Park at 12 noon tomorrow," Batkivschyna parliamentary faction leader Arseniy Yatseniuk said at a briefing on Sunday.

Protesters on the Euromaidan (Kyiv's Independence Square) late in the evening of November 29, 2013, passed a resolution to hold a popular assembly of Euromaidan activists on Independence Square on December 1 and to decide on further actions.

Then, after the crackdown on Euromaidan protesters in the early hours of November 30, the opposition decided to change the venue of the popular assembly.
