Ukrainian presidential chief of staff Serhiy Liovochkin has resigned, a source familiar with the situation has told Interfax-Ukraine.

Interfax-Ukraine could not immediately confirm this information.

The source suggested that Liovochkin's decision could have been prompted by his disagreement with the use of force by police in breaking up a rally of supporters of Ukraine's integration with Europe in the center of Kyiv.
