Yuschenko and Yatseniuk are 'technical candidates' for Yanukovych, says Tymoshenko
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has stated that her only competitor at the upcoming presidential elections is the Regions Party leader Viktor Yanukovych as Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko and former Parliamentary Speaker Arseniy Yatseniuk are "technical candidates."
"Everything you see on television does not correspond to the unofficial strategies… Today we have three candidates running for presidency… Yuschenko is a technical candidate for Yanukovych… His task is to kill me publicly, beautifully, professionally and with the mass media. Yatseniuk is a technical candidate for Yanukovych. His task is to take away from me everything he can in Western and Central Ukraine. Yanukovych is the only one who is running for the presidency to really compete me," Tymoshenko said at the ICTV channel on Monday.
She also said that the "three [candidates] have one [election] staff."
"The staff is unofficially headed by Mr. Firtash [businessman Dmytro Firtash, co-owner of the RosUkrEnergo], who now is a very [important] figure in Ukraine," Tymoshenko said.
