Ulyanchenko appointed head of Ukraine's presidential secretariat
Current governor of Kyiv region Vira Ulyanchenko has been appointed head of Ukraine's presidential secretariat.
Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko signed a relevant decree on Tuesday, the presidential press service reported.
As reported, Yuschenko earlier today issued a decree dismissing Viktor Baloha from the post of head of the presidential secretariat. Baloha was appointed to this post on September 15, 2006.
Ulyanchenko has been heading Kyiv regional state administration since June 16, 2006. She was Yuschenko's assistant while he was Ukraine's premier and after he was elected president. On May 16, 2009, Ulyanchenko was elected head of the council of the pro-presidential party, the Our Ukraine People's Union.
