Competition between hotels to improve services on south coast of Crimea, Kolesnikov says

The creation of a hotel network with high service levels and affordable prices on the south coast of Crimea hotel requires about 300 hectares of land and competition between the hotels, Vice Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov has said.

"There are several projects in this area, but the problem is that there is no land. It's necessary to find from 150 to 300 hectares of land to build hotels for the sea resort. There is a good option in the western Crimea between Saky and Yevpatoria. There is another good option - Feodosia. Now we're thinking about it," Kolesnikov said on the air at Donbass TV channel on Monday.

According to him, "in any case this isn't a one day project. There should be real competitiveness between hotels for holidaying affordably. For example, the Turks completely studied experience of the Soviet 'all inclusive' hotels, and in principle they won an international race…But the Turks gave huge credits to their private companies. They gave guarantees to their private companies. And they created a tourism bank, which completely serviced the tourism business," the vice premier said.
