Ukrnafta extends contract for processing gas into fertilizers at Dniproazot for three months

PJSC Ukrnafta has extended for three months the contract, within the framework of which it rents the capacities of PJSC Dniproazot for processing its own gas into mineral fertilizers, the company's press service has reported.

Ukrnafta sells ammonia produced in this way to Dniproazot.

The price of ammonia is calculated by the formula stipulated in the contract between the parties.

"The new price of ammonia within the contract extension will be higher than the price under the old contract," the press service said.

According to Ukrnafta, gas processing at the facilities of Dniproazot is more profitable for the company than it sales to Naftogaz Ukrainy.

As reported, Naftogaz Ukrainy owns a 50% plus one share stake in Ukrnafta, a group of companies related to Ihor Kolomoisky and other former shareholders of PrivatBank hold about 42% of the shares.

Dniproazot is controlled by Ihor Kolomoisky and other former owners of PrivatBank.
