Deposit Guarantee Fund introduces differentiated risk-pegged regular fees of banks

The Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund is introducing differentiated regular fees for banks, taking into account the amount of risk in their operations.

The fund said on its website that the amendments have been made to the rules of calculating, accruing and paying fees to the fund, which was registered in the Justice Ministry and will take effect on January 1, 2018.

"The goal of creating the new system of differentiated rates by risk is the introduction of global standards to encourage banks to refuse taking excessive risks, to ensure bigger equity in collection of contributions to the fund without undue burden on banks," the fund said.
