Five insurers set up National Association of Insurers of Ukraine

Universalna insurance company, Krayina insurance company, the Ukrainian Insurance Group, UNIQA insurance company and Globus insurance company (all based in Kyiv) have become members of the National Association of Insurers of Ukraine registered on November 1, 2017, director general of the association Natalia Hudyma has told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to her, the association of insurers is unprofitable, created on the basis of professional affiliation, community of interests and unites companies that share the goals and objectives of the association. The priority areas of its activities are the development and implementation of a high level of rules and standards of activity in the insurance services market.

The union plans, in particular, to participate in the development and improvement of legislation in the sphere of financial services, organization and conduct of an independent examination of legislative and regulatory acts, the creation of an attractive environment for foreign investors in the Ukrainian insurance market, the promotion of a high level of economic efficiency, competitiveness and social responsibility of the activities of the association members.

She also noted that the association intends to interact with other professional associations of the market in order to create a civilized and highly professional financial services market in Ukraine.
