Rada may envisage UAH 300 mln in 2018 budget for cheapening loans for state coalmines

The amended draft state budget of Ukraine for 2018, which was published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada, foresees the allocation of UAH 300 million to reduce the cost of loans attracted by state-owned coal mining enterprises for construction and re-equipment.

The respective amendment was introduced at the initiative of the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry.

In addition, the document includes a provision on the repayment of state coalmines' debt for electricity consumed for UAH 1.4 billion at the expense of the special fund. The source of the filling of this fund should be receipts from the repayment by state coalmines and other enterprises of the energy sector of debts on the profit tax, part of their net profit and dividends.

It is also proposed to allocate UAH 250 million for final settlement with suppliers as part of contracts of Ukrenergo and Ukravtodor, under which difficulties arose due to the decision to revoke BG Bank's license.
