EBRD places two-year discount bonds worth UAH 295 mln on LSE

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on November 7 issued discount bonds for UAH 295 million, according to the website of the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

Securities are denominated in the hryvnia, but payments are made in U.S. dollars.

The bond issue price was set at 82.6446% of the nominal value. Accordingly, the bank attracted UAH 243.802 million or $9.155 million.

The term of circulation of the securities is until November 7, 2019.

The organizer of the issue was Raiffeisen Bank International (Austria).

The bonds are listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Earlier, on August 2 the EBRD issued annual bonds for $10 million, payments on which are tied to the average weighted hryvnia exchange rate on the interbank foreign exchange market. The term of circulation of the securities is until August 2, 2018. Interest income is accrued and paid together with repayment at a rate of 9.5% per annum.
