McDonald's invests UAH 136 mln in network development in Ukraine in 2017

Enterprise with foreign investments McDonald's Ukraine Ltd. (Kyiv), which develops the American chain of fast food restaurants McDonald's in Ukraine, in 2017 invested UAH 136 million in the development of the network in the country.

"Since the beginning of this year and to date, investments in the opening and reconstruction of fast food restaurants amounted to UAH 136 million. These are three reconstructions in Odesa, Kharkiv and Dnipro, as well as two new restaurants in Kyiv (Lavina Mall trade center and near the Minska metro station). By the end of the year this amount will increase," Director General of McDonald's Ukraine Grzegorz Chmielarski said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, the company plans in the current year to open four new restaurants in Ukraine, two of them are already open.

"Two more restaurants will be opened in the existing shopping centers RayON in Troyeschyna in Kyiv and City Mall in Zaporizhia," he said.

In addition, one McDonald's restaurant is currently in the process of major restructuring with an area increase from 290 to 405 square meters in Naukova Street in Kharkiv.
