NCER cuts Ukrhydroenergo's average tariff by 7% for 2017

The National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER) has reduced the average tariff of private joint-stock company Ukrhydroenergo for 2017 by 7%, from 65.6 kopecks per kWh to 61.02 kopecks per kWh.

According to a decision made by the commission at a Thursday meeting, the investment program of the company in the amount of UAH 3.446 billion for 2017 was approved, including UAH 1.201 billion for hydroelectric power plants and UAH 2.246 billion for pumped storage power plants (all do not include VAT).

As reported, the electricity transmission forecast for 2017 is 9.309 billion kWh.

Ukrhydroenergo operates all large hydroelectric power stations located in the Ukrainian sections of the Dnipro and Dniester rivers. The total installed capacity of the company's hydroelectric power plants is 5,745 MW. The state represented by the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry owns 100% of the company's shares.
