Investigators of the Kyiv prosecutor's office have completed a pre-trial investigation and sent to court an indictment against two officials of Ukrzaliznytsia convicted of taking a bribe of almost UAH 4 million.

According to the press service of the Kyiv prosecutor's office, the head of the Ukrzaliznytsia department of property and land resources together with the deputy head of the legal department agreed to the proposal of a private firm director to receive UAH 4 million for assistance in renting 9 hectares of land in the Piskivka settlement in Kyiv region.

The actions of the officials are qualified under Part 4 of Article 368 (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of improper benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In addition, as part of the investigation into these criminal proceeding, it was established that one of the suspects intentionally failed to enter information on property and funds in an electronic declaration.
