Poland's oil and gas company PGNiG has signed a contract with public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz to use Ukrainian gas underground storage facilities, the company's has reported.

"The contract with Ukrtransgaz is yet another milestone in PGNiG trade expansion in the Ukraine. It offers new opportunities for cooperation with business partners from this country," the company said.

As reported, earlier PGNiG signed a contract with Ukrtransgaz on gas transportation using the Ukrainian gas transport system (GTS). Thus, the Polish company will be able to sell gas to Ukrainian consumers not only on the border as the company did it before.

PGNiG has been selling gas to Ukrainian consumers since August 2016.
