PM dismisses acting head of state service for geodesy, cartography and cadastre Tsviakh, promises to jail him for appointing 'enforcers'

Acting head of the State Service for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre (Derzhgeocadastre) Oleh Tsviakh has been dismissed.

"Mr. Tsviakh, from now on you are suspended from performing your duties. Tomorrow I will appeal to the General Prosecutor's Office and the National Security and Defense Council to launch a case against you, against all your chiefs at district administrations, to investigate it and you will be imprisoned," Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said during the course of the Regional Development Council in Kyiv.

The prime minister urged local authorities to provide him with information about the "enforcers" by the end of the day.

"Dear colleagues, who applauded, I expect from you by the end of the day specific facts, specific names of those who are acting as "enforcers" in your districts and regions," Groysman said.

President Petro Poroshenko asked to provide him with duplicates of these materials.

"The "enforcers" remained behind in 2014, far off 2013. And I emphasize that what you are doing today, if it's true, you piggy-back today on our state and you are not forgiven for it. If you are guilty, you will be in jail. End of story," the prime minister said.

The corresponding decision was made after the appeal of the head of Vasylkivska district administration of Dnipropetrovsk region, Serhiy Lytvynov, to the president with the request to remove Kyiv's "enforcers" of the State Service for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre from the regions.

"Mr. President, I listened to the information about the "enforcers" and we will not dwell on that. I believe that everything we heard here should be investigated and not be ignored, and guilty persons should go to jail," Groysman said.

The president thanked the PM for the decision, and also said that it is necessary to solve the issue of the disposal of state lands outside the populated areas by the local communities and bring it to the meeting of the National Council of Reforms.

Tsviakh has been appointed to the post of acting head of the State Service for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre since July 2016. He worked as the head of the land management department of land resources of the executive body of Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration) from 2012 to 2015.

From February to July 2015, he served as the head of the Main Directorate of the State Agency for Agrarian Policy in Kyiv. On July 24, 2015, he was appointed Chief of the Main Directorate of the State Service for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre in Kyiv.
