The large taxpayers' office of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine has collected UAH 5.4 million of tax debt from Yandex.Ukraine. The debt appeared after the company did not pay profit tax in the first quarter of 2017, the office reported on its Facebook page on Friday.

"Yandex.Ukraine LLC has not paid on its financial commitments for over 90 days, which was the reason of the profit tax debt for the first quarter of 2017 and VAT debt in the amount of UAH 5.4 million. The office decided to collect the debt from accounts of the taxpayer," the large taxpayers' office said.

The office also said that since early 2017 the large taxpayers' office sent over 13,000 collection orders and collected UAH 246 million of tax debt, including UAH 13.7 million in September.

As reported, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on May 15 enacting a resolution by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) dated April 28, 2017 on the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions).
